Owner and Founder Desiree Nordstrom Recognized by the J. Reuben Clark Law Society

Recently, Owner and Founder of Overflow Legal Network, Desiree J. Nordstrom was recognized for her service as a member of the Board of Directors on the Orange County Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (JRCLS). This took place during the chapter’s annual dinner with approximately 150 in attendance.

While on the Board, Mrs. Nordstrom was asked to serve as the Women in Law (WIL) Representative for the Chapter and also worked on the employment committee. Mrs. Nordstrom assisted the Board in planning monthly luncheons that often offered continuing education credits to those in attendance. During her tenure, Mrs. Nordstrom organized a trip to attend the WIL Regional Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. She has also organized many networking luncheons specifically for the WIL members of the chapter. One event occurred over the weekend when a group of WIL members attended a lecture by Sheri Dew at Claremont Graduate University. The women had a great time attended dinner and the lecture.

The JRCLS is an international law society with over 11,000 members. The Orange County Chapter is one of over 90 chapters, world-wide. The JRCLS Mission Statement is, “We affirm the strength brought to the law by a lawyer’s personal religious conviction. We strive through public service and professional excellence to promote fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law.”

Mrs. Nordstrom stated, “I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to work closely with many leaders on the board. I have enjoyed getting to know the members of the society and look forward to my continued involvement in its events.”
